100% SUCCESS Literacy Intervention, Remediation, & Prevention
Teaching children to learn how to read and spell the English language correctly - meaning without asking the learners to memorize words is not easy because English is a complex language. The words from the English language come from different sources and languages such as Old and Middle English, Latin and French, etc., —each with its phonology, structure, rules, strategies, and techniques.
In addition, with close to a million words and counting and has the largest vocabulary and is still growing, the English language has many variants and has one of the most complex alphabetic orthographies. Therefore, the training, workshops, and courses to learn the English language even for teachers must be divided into different levels so that it will not be too overwhelming for the participants and some of the trainees might still need a refresher course, or additional sessions and consultations.
Furthermore, with the hope of working together for the benefit of our struggling students, we have also created the Multisensory Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educators group on Facebook to connect with fellow classroom educators who have the same training from us for further help, support, discussions, sharing strategies, etc. because we believe that
Together, we can make the impossible, possible!

Our goal is simple: we will teach you the best and the most effective reading and spelling skills from our more than eight years of 100% success literacy intervention, remediation and prevention, therefore we will only dedicate an hour or two but not 30 hours explaining the Orton-Gillingham principles, current research for Orton-Gillingham practitioners, an in-depth explanation about dyslexia etc., because you can purchase books to learn more about the latter topics mentioned.
This more than six-hour training is the foundation for learning to read and spell, typically taught in kindergarten, grade one and grade two, but also necessary for older students if they struggle to read and spell. Although it is ideal for kindergarten, grade one, grade two, paraprofessional, and special needs teachers who do not have the background about the Orton-Gillingham typical method and how the English language system works, other educators can also learn and take this level.
It can be taught in remedial groups as large as 10 to 15 students but before the educator can apply this concept with confidence and proficiency, she needs to start with a one-to-one lesson and review the notes from the training. Some students might have difficulties that the educator has no solutions or she might have forgotten them during the training, therefore a refresher training or consultation might be needed to become a highly trained instructor in this level.
Also, to teach reading and spelling means to give the instruction on how to read and spell and if the students with language difficulties and those who are severely impaired can learn to read and spell using this method, why can't this be applied in the classroom setting? We have 100% success in teaching severely impaired students comorbid with other disabilities and disorders and they all have learned to read!
Yes! This can be applied in a regular classroom setting and the reading instructor will see the progress of the students that spike so quickly that the teacher will be running out of lessons to teach in just few months! But before one can do that, a one-to-one instruction to build confidence, or refresher training might be needed to become a proficient instructor in this level. Some participants are also struggling with too much information they received during the training, another reason why the courses must be divided into several levels so that the lessons won't be too overwhelming for the trainees.
At the end of the training, participants should be able to teach students with at least low cognitive ability and with intact vision and hearing to read and spell closed syllable, one-syllable words including the exceptions to the closed syllable, meaning without memorizing the words
