Developmental lags and/or learning styles are not the reasons why your six- year- old cannot learn to read but it is how he has taught how to read.

Your struggling first grader will fall further behind if you won’t seek help as soon as possible for his reading problems

If you wait beyond first grade to seek appropriate help for your struggling child, he is likely to remain behind his grade level unless very intensive well-designed individualized but instruction is given.

Even if he is eventually admitted to a secondary level, he would not survive he will fail and won’t be able to acquire his high school diploma.
