Early intervention is critically important if your first grader struggles to read and spell or he will further behind and will never catch up to his grade level. There is also a greater possibility that he won't even make to high school.
Expert instruction is critically important as soon as possible if your first grader has difficulties in sounding out words, cannot connect the sounds to make words and has poor reading and spelling skills or he will fall further behind and will never catch up to his grade level. There is also a greater possibility that he won't make to highschool.
If you wait for too long for a very intensive but exhausting and costly expert instruction, the possibility to catch up to his grade level is extremely slim and your child will tremendously suffer, physically, emotionally, socially and psychologically!
